Specialist Teachers for Inclusive Practice (STIPs)

We are a team of qualified teachers and experienced Teaching Assistants with specialist knowledge and practical experience in supporting children with SEND and additional needs. Our comprehensive offer includes support at all levels of the Graduated Response for children and young people with SEND. Our work involves engaging with families as well as school staff to support all children to thrive in our mainstream schools.

The Specialist Teachers for Inclusive Practice can work with any mainstream school to support the inclusion and achievement of children with additional and special educational needs.

We offer a core service to all academies and secondary schools which can be enhanced through the purchase of additional packages on the Surrey Education Services Hub.

We provide an enhanced service to our maintained primary schools where our offer is delivered according to school, pupil and family need in line with the Graduated Response and Profiles of Need.

Our graduated offer includes supporting schools to develop their whole-school approach to inclusion and both supports and develops the use of targeted and evidence-based early intervention for children with special and additional educational needs.
